Opportunities to Serve:God has given each person in our parish talents to use in service to one another. Please offer yourself and your gifts of time and talent for the ministry of Christ's Church and in gratitude and thanksgiving for all that God has given you.(Training will be provided for all those who volunteer in areas where training is required.) Ministry of Worship
Altar Server - assist at daily, weekend, holy day funeral and wedding masses.
Eucharistic Minister - distribute communion at weekend and other masses. (Must be Confirmed) Gift Bearer - present the gifts to the altar during the offertory procession at masses. Greeter - welcome parishioners and guests at masses. Lector - proclaim the Word at weekend and special masses. (Must be Confirmed) Jr. Lector - proclaim the Word at weekend and special masses Usher - seat worshippers, distribute bulletins and other information, receive the offering at masses. Arts/Environment - assist with the design and create the environment for worship. Cantors - provide music leadership for psalms, hymns and acclamations at Mass. Liturgy Committee - Meets monthly to guide, plan and evaluate the parish liturgies for Sundays and Holy Days. Renew Choir - Sings at weekend liturgies three times a month. Rehearsals are 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Musicians - vocal and instrumental musicians are always welcome to get involved. Organist/Piano - Provide accompaniment for cantors, singers and soloists at weekend liturgies. Usually works with cantor. Sacristy Worker - Cares for vestments, sacred vessels and other altar furnishings. Sacristan - Prepares the sanctuary and liturgical ministers one half hour before Mass with some clean up after Mass. Faith Sharing Group - Meets once weekly to reflect on the Sunday readings and share faith. Different groups meet on different days. Ministry of Religious Education
Teacher (1-6) - work with the children in grades 1-6 in the program. Workshops are held regularly. Class materials are provided.

Office Assistant - help with various clerical tasks on Religious Education class days. Youth Program - meets once a month for support, prayer, and activities. Youth group is open to any students in grades 7-12. Adults are also needed to help with activities. Board of Education - oversees the total parish Religious Education, parish school and adult education programs. Meetings are held once per month. RCIA Catechist - helps with faith instructions during the period of preparation for initiation into the faith. RCIA Sponsor - become involved with those who are exploring, or renewing their experience with the Catholic faith. Welcome them and help them become acquainted with our parish. RCIA Team Member - assists the RCIA coordinator with hospitality, prayer, sponsors, and all details of the RCIA process. Marriage Preparation Course - Couples share their experience with marriage and facilitate the pre-marriage inventory. The course is offered annually in March. Ministry of Christian Service
Social Actions Committee - seeks to apply Church teachings about social concerns to current issues and to share that information with the parish as a means of education and action. Meets bi-monthly.
Newcomer's Committee - A new group that will welcome new members and encourages community growth. Prayer Network - Prayer Network is a group of people who have volunteered to pray for those with any special needs. There is a group that can be contacted during the day and another group that can be contacted at night. Assist at Villa Services - Escort residents to chapel and back to their rooms. Assist residents during the services. One hour commitment per week. BeFrienders - A one-to-one ministry by trained, caring parishioners reaching out to another in time of need. Transportation for Weekend Masses - Drive parishioners who need a ride to Mass on Sunday. Ministry of Administration
Parish Council - The Parish Council is the main advisory board to the pastor in the life and operation of the Parish. It is comprised of nine members who are elected by the parish for three-year terms. The Parish Council meets the second Thursday of each month.
Finance Committee - Plan and oversee budget, advise on revenue and expenditures, monitor financial controls. Monthly meetings. Maintenance Committee - Guide development and maintenance of parish property, physical plant and capital equipment. Monthly meetings. Office Volunteers - Assist the secretary by answering phones, stuffing bulletins, preparing mailings and various tasks. Time involvement varies. Cemetery Committee - oversees the maintenance and upkeep of the cemetery. Supervises the sale of lots Clean Church - Clean worship space weekly, at volunteer's discretion (usually Friday.) Families are invited to work together. Minor Painting - Work on special projects as needed. Evenings and Saturday times. Carpentry Repairs - Work on special projects as needed. Evenings and Saturdays times. Landscape/Lawn Work - Seasonal work as needed on parish grounds. Young adults and families are invited to work together. Repair pews - assist with necessary repairs as needed. Evenings and Saturday times. Parish Life
Parish Festival - A chair group heads the festival which is held in the fall. There are many subcommittees where your skills and talent can be used.
Christian Mothers - Meetings are held four times a year with special speakers or programs for information and discussion of current issues that affect the family. Parish Life Commission - Prepares socials, parish celebrations and events. Time commitment is variable depending on the event. Persons Living Alone - a support group for any one living alone. Meetings are held on the third Sunday of the month, September to May. Mission Group - a group of social and mission minded group who meet monthly and provide support to foreign missions. Knights of Columbus - Members are encouraged to assist with various areas of parish life. Knights sponsor and serve coffee and rolls after Sunday Masses from September - May. Men's Group - We are seeking to begin a Men's Group for spiritual growth, social activities and service to the parish. Special Ministry Needs

A strong faith community consists of individual members and opportunities for the members to be good stewards.
